September 20, 2018

SUN Behavioral Delaware will help fill a gap in behavioral health services in Sussex County when the 90-bed hospital and treatment center opens in October in Georgetown. Amy Wood, the new CEO of SUN Behavioral Delaware, has more than 28 years of experience in senior leadership in mental health and substance use disorder treatment programs.

The hospital will provide mental health and substance use disorder treatment services, offering comprehensive inpatient treatment, partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient services for children, adolescents, adults and seniors. Officials said the facility, operated by New Jersey-based SUN Behavioral Health, will open with 24 beds and add beds as needed. The facility also includes an outdoor courtyard, indoor recreation center and expanded waiting areas for patients and their families.

An open house will be held from 4-7 p.m. on Oct. 1 at SUN Behavioral Delaware, 21655 Biden Ave., Georgetown. To learn more: https://sunbehavioral.com/delaware/
