The Advisory Group will be Responsible for Policy Recommendations, Processes, and Timelines for the Health Care Spending Benchmark
The advisory group will provide feedback to Secretary Walker on methods to measure and report on the total cost of health care in Delaware. The group will advise on data sources to use that feed into the methodologies that will lead to the establishment of a health care spending growth target. Part of this work will involve determining the metrics to create quality benchmarks and what changes, if any, should be made to the composition of the Delaware Health Care Commission to get the data it needs to develop the benchmark calculation, while updating and assessing performances that affect cost and quality benchmarks every year.
The advisory group will include:
- Dr. Kara Odom Walker, Secretary of Health & Social Services, Chair
- Michael Jackson, Director of Office of Management and Budget (OMB)
- Dr. Nancy Fan, Chair of the Delaware Health Care Commission (DHCC)
