The Quality Common Scorecard to be Released Soon

Developed by the Delaware Center for Health Innovation to help steer Delaware’s Road to Value, a set of health care quality measures have been shared with primary care practices throughout Delaware since 2016, to support their efforts to improve and deliver more proactive and preventive care.

Quality measures and report cards are not helpful for only health care providers, however; consumers need information to make better choices, and our state leaders and citizens need a better understanding of the overall health status of Delawareans. The Delaware quality and cost benchmark initiative is an effort to do just that — use accurate and timely data to guide better state-level decision- making.

The Quality Common Scorecard has been made possible by cooperation from Highmark Delaware and the Delaware Medicaid Managed Care Organizations, with careful technical support from the Delaware Health Information Network. The statewide version of the Quality Common Scorecard will be constructed with additional Delaware data collected by the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA). Stay tuned for more details as they become available. The Common Scorecard will be placed on the Choose Health Delaware website in April.
